We've partnered with Insect Shield® to use their EPA-registered permethrin textile technology in our socks.
(The US Army treats all combat uniforms issued to soldiers with Insect Shield’s built-in treatment, too).
The active ingredient (0.52% permethrin) is bonded directly to the fabric fibers of each sock during manufacturing.
It lasts through 70 washes, unlike DIY permethrin methods that sit on top of fabric and lasts around 6 washes.
They’re proven to repel ticks (including those which may carry Lyme disease), as well as mosquitoes, ants, flies, chiggers, and midges (no-see-ums).
The built-in repellency is invisible and odorless – they look, feel, and smell like regular socks, except they repel ticks.
You can’t tell it’s there, but the ticks can.
